Symphony in Bb Major Empty Symphony in Bb Major

Post  Ganteka Sun Jun 21, 2009 8:36 pm

I'm beginning composition of a classical piece, maybe 10-30 minutes long. All who want in can sign up here.
I put it in Bb so it will be as simple as possible; don't want to exclude non-professionals. If you sign up, please state how well/long you've played your instrument so I can properly arrange.

To clear things up for everyone, I need the following instruments. Other classical instruments may be used, so you may still volunteer your services if applicable. However, I definitely will use:

-Brass section (trumpets, horns, tuba, baritone, etc)
-String section (violins, violas, cello, etc)
-Woodwind section (flutes, piccolos, recorders, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, etc)
-Percussion section (snare, bass, timpani, xylophone, bells, glockenspiel, piano etc)
-Vocal section (tenor, soprano, bass, etc)

Specifics Chaostar. Only post if you are ready to take an active part in a set role.

Symphony in Bb Major Empty I WANT IN!

Post  squibbles Mon Jun 29, 2009 5:34 pm

Write me in a classical guitar bit. I'm in.

I can play any scale you give me, and speed shouldn't be a problem, unless we get past 32th notes. I'm not a plucker though, I strum and sweep. I can't do those really complex things with plucking different strings in weird rhythms and what-not. :/

Ok then, I'd prefer a piano part, if possible, if not, I can make do with a part that no one else takes. (besides vocals)

Viola, 4 years (I'm still not very good though)
Unlike Calcy, I don't play the violin.

Though I am a pianist, I am willing to contribute in composition as far as a reference and editor (as to propose feedback of sort). If you need more information please notify.
